Wedding
& Anniversary Information
We especially
like to perform at wedding receptions and anniversary parties. So we go that
extra mile to make your evening something really special. If time permits us
to do so, we try to offer the following for our wedding reception and
anniversary party clients.
We first get to
the reception early to set up, so we can start playing background music for
your guests as they arrive. Then we announce the bride & groom as they
enter the reception. We then play background music during the "meet &
greet" as well as during the meal. We make any announcements that you
wish, and we have a microphone available so anyone who wishes can also make any
"toasts" or announcements.
Here's some
very helpful information that we have compiled for you that will make your
night "one of a kind."

Wedding/Anniversary Things to know:
If
you have a ceremonial candle (Unity Candle) that you will be lighting during
the ceremony, you will find that if you pre-light and then extinguish all of
the candles before the ceremony. You will save yourself time and stress because
the candles will light immediately when you have pre-lit candles, instead of
trying feverishly to light those candles that "just won't seem to
light" - ruining your perfect day.
If
you plan to have a meal at your reception, The easiest way to serve your guest
is to have one or two people in your wedding party to act as attendants to
personally invite a few tables at a time to go to the meal line. This way you
will not have all of your guests rush the meal line all at once.
There
are a few things that we need to know about what you want to have happen at
your special event. You need to take some time to think about what song you and
your husband/wife wish to dance to, if you wish to have a bouquet/garter toss
and if you wish to dance the "Grand March". No matter how complex or
"Simply Elegant" you wish your night to be, D & M Sounds will
make every effort to make your night the talk of the town.
If
you wish to have a favorite song performed during the event (Bride / Groom
Dance) that we do not have in our archive (see our Songlist page), Please let us know as soon as you can so
we can locate the song(s) and make sure we have them for the event. If time has
passed, or you just realized that you want a particular song played, and you
have the song available on CD or Cassette, we are able to use your CD or
Cassette that evening.
Even though these songs are grouped, Doesn't mean that you can't
use a song from the "Wedding Party Song" list for you "First
Dance" Song. You can choose whatever you wish with D & M Sounds.

*One wireless
handheld microphone with mic stand for ceremony officiant (Reverend).
*One wired

*Attempt to
provide ceremony music (We have some ceremony music), or if you already have
the ceremony music, we can utilize it for performance. (In CD format only).
