special event. What do I do now?

Q. Does D & M Sounds accept
credit/debit cards?
A. No… At this time, we only accept personal
checks, business checks, money orders & CASH. We are unable to process any
type of credit/debit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, etc.)
If we currently offered this service, we would have to impose a 10% upcharge to all transactions. We are making every attempt to
keep costs down so we can offer you an exceptional service at a value price.
Q. Can I make payments on the balance of my
bill?
A. Yes… After we receive the $100.00
retainer fee, which is deducted from your total bill. You can make bi-monthly
or monthly payments to us at a minimum $50.00 per payment. We will send you a
receipt for each payment to your mailing address. The final payment must be
made either 2 weeks prior to the performance date or be made in person on the
day of the event. Either way, we require full payment before the performance

Q. Can D & M Sounds perform my wedding
ceremony music?
A. Yes… We are able to perform for your

Q. Do you offer discounted rates if my
event is shorter (like 2 or 3 hours)?
A. No… Our $550.00 minimum charge is for
events that last 0 to 4 hours. For events outside the Austin Metro Area, a charge

Q. Does D & M Sounds do Karaoke?
A. No… At this time, We do not have the
capability to offer Karaoke machine/service.
Q. Does D & M Sounds have Tejano, Cojunta and other Latin
music?
A. No… At this time, We do not posses much of this type of music. We have artists like Selena and Ricky Martin. But if you are looking for, as some call it, "Real Tejano" music, we don’t carry it. Since we do not speak any other language than American English, we have only purchased music that is sung/spoken in English. If you are looking for a Tejano DJ click here!
Q. What types of performances do D & M
Sounds cater to?
A. We currently perform mostly for wedding
receptions, which is the type of event that we are best suited for. However, we
can perform for most other events as well.
Q. Does D & M Sounds censor their music
content?
A. Yes… We make every attempt possible to
only provide music to our clients that is "Appropriate for the
occasion." If we are performing for a school event, for example, by all
means that we make an attempt to only perform selections that are "school
friendly." As for private events, our client guides us to the type and
nature of the content that is to be performed at their event.
Q. Why doesn't a certain song (or artist)
show up on your songlist?
A. We make every attempt to have as much of
a vast selection of music as possible. We try to have music that you can dance
to. It is a possibility that you are requesting a song that is good for
listening to, but not good at all for dancing to. Our business is to get people
out on the dance floor and have a good time, not to put them to sleep. If you
are looking for a song that is great to dance to, and we don't have it, don't
hesitate to let us know. We will try to acquire it.
